Im actually living for staff’s boneheaded response right now. “Female presenting nipples” is the absolute peak of tumblr’s identity politics, fake liberalism, and habit of putting the same ol’ sexist ideals into new, shiny phrases while changing absolutely nothing about the original problem. They couldve just said nipples - but /male/ nipples arent obscene. They couldve said ‘female nipples’ - but that excludes people who dont identify as female. They need a way to categorize the nipples that we ALL know theyre talking about, without offending people who they…arent talking about.
THIS is new-aged liberalism in a nutshell. Worrying about ~correct, “pc” phrasing, while ignoring the underlying issue: female body parts are not obscene. Why did they feel the need to include that specific phrase in such a stupid post. Its virtue signalling. Its such a clear fucking attempt to sound #woke, and #inclusive, but its just. Sexist. Stupid.
I change my mind im done w tumblr today lmao. Someone out there is gonna write their dissertation on why liberalism is ineffective and regurgitates 1950’s ideals, but it aint gonna be today, and it aint gonna be me.
